This is a nile crocodile in the Wilmington NC Serpentarium. There is a red heat lamp for him to bask under, and I think that red light along with the otherwise dim lighting in the place made for an interesting sight.

The red heat lamp does give a nice effect, but I would have like his head/mouth to be seen more. Great pose though!
